Crossing Borders
Painting in the Crown of Aragon, 1400–1500
About
The Crown of Aragon, a vast Mediterranean region encompassing much of present-day Spain and Italy, was a cosmopolitan kingdom characterized by a dynamic international network of artists and patrons. Encounter one of the most impressive collections outside Spain of paintings from the Crown, thanks to the generosity of Philadelphia collector John G. Johnson (1841–1917).
