The Bay Window
Edward HopperAmerican, 1882 - 1967
Early proofs printed in green ink exist for several of Hopper's prints, suggesting that he occasionally liked to experiment with color variation. When printing the final completed print, however, he always chose black ink. As he once explained, he preferred the darkest black ink and the brightest white paper he could find.
