Chicken cups are among the Ming dynasty Chenghua period (1465-1487) wares that the later Manchu court (1644-1911) held in high regard and ordered the imperial kilns at Jingdezhen to imitate. This cup is made of fine white porcelain covered with a colorless glaze and overglaze enamels.
