Stephen ShoreAmerican, born 1947
Shore's work concentrates on the built landscape of the United States. (He sold one such photograph to the Museum of Modern Art in New York City at age eighteen.) In the early 1970s he began working in color with a 4x5 camera, and later with an 8x10, to capture his undistinguished subject matter in exquisite detail, and went on to become a leading figure in the color revolution.
