William B. Durgin Company Division of the Gorham Manufacturing Company, Concord, New Hampshire

Concord, New Hampshire, 1905 - 1931

Image 1 of 41 / 4

The "D" mark on this dish, one of a pair, is that of the William B. Durgin Company of Concord, New Hampshire. The Durgin Company was purchased by the Gorham Manufacturing Company in 1905. The peacock may have been an original Durgin design or the Durgin mark may indicate that this piece was made in the Durgin/Gorham factory in Concord, which remained in operation until 1931. Bigelow, Kennard & Company of Boston (1863-1922) marketed these dishes.
