The Artist and His Family
Eugen Napoleon NeureutherGerman, 1806 - 1882
Neureuther depicted his wife and children gathered around the parlor table in a cozy family-centered scene that was a hallmark of domestic life in much of Europe by the mid-nineteenth century. Neureuther captures the restless air of children bored with having to sit still while being drawn.
