Tea Caddy

Suzuki Masaya (Hyōsaku III)

Japanese, 1932 - 2013

Suzuki Masaya was born into a famous family of lacquer artists in Kyoto. He combines new materials with traditional techniques in his works. This tea caddy, which uses the natural grain of the wood to create the image of a hillside landscape, shows his artistic craftsmanship.
