Between 1994 and 2001, Greg Mac Gregor revisited the travels of the 1804–6 Corps of Discovery, also known as the Lewis and Clark Expedition. Using their journals as his guide, the resulting series of photographs represents changes and continuities in American encounters with nature over two centuries.
