K. William LeQuier

American, born 1953

Inspired by multilayered stacks of glass shelving, K. William LeQuier’s sculptures aim to resolve the relationship between line and space. LeQuier considers his work as three-dimensional sketches and began creating these forms by layering and sandblasting planes of glass. Movement, undulation, and fluidity are captured in Bristle Top. LeQuier’s representation of random force is evident in the complex lines that are carved into the glass through the sandblasting process.
